Turtle Mat Joins Kleen-Tex Europe
We have some exciting news here at “Turtle Towers” – we have recently joined the wonderful Kleen-Tex Industries family of businesses. On Tuesday, December 20, Kleen-Tex Holdings (UK) Ltd., the UK subsidiary of Kleen-Tex in Europa GmbH, acquired all shares of Turtle Mat Company from Mark Whitney, who had owned the company since 2004.
“With Turtle Mats, we are gaining a strong retail brand for our company portfolio, especially in the UK market,” explains Jürgen Teubenbacher, Managing Director of Kleen-Tex in Europa GmbH. “For both companies, there are very positive synergies,” says Teubenbacher.
The Turtle Mat Company will remain an independent operating company. Susan Leaver, who was Turtle Mat’s Commercial Director, will assume the day-to-day management of the company as Director and General Manager.
“Kleen-Tex has a wealth of product expertise and market knowledge which puts us in a strong competitive position. The acquisition presents new and exciting opportunities,” says Susan Leaver.
